Janet Edwards worked in the design industry for 37 years. She spent her early years learning from her Grandmother, renowned interior designer Thelma Wagner, and attended Parsons School of Design before returning to Portland in 1983 to form Lamer Edwards Interiors. Janet was a member of the Architectural Institute of Classical Architecture and held degrees in both Art and Education. She received a “Designer of the Year” award from Traditional Home Magazine in 1996 and her passion and experience with textiles and fabrics from around the world inspired her to start designing fashion forward clothing. Janet believed in mixing antiques with contemporary pieces to properly layer a room and create just the right balance.
